Forklift Operator/Warehouse Personnel/Storekeeper at Natural Prime Resources Limited
- Safely load and unload pallets of wholesale produce using forklift vehicle
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks and carry out fixes to solve common mechanical problems
- Move products to specific storage spaces and manually unload and stack boxes, observing safe lifting practice
- Maintain a clean, unobstructed work area and report health and safety issues to supervisors
- Inspect and perform minor maintenance on forklift and other equipment daily to ensure everything is in good safety operation
- Calculate cost, load, and process payment by means of data entry
- Tidy and dispose of packing materials following company's guidelines to maintain site safety
- Work with teammates to efficiently handle freight shipment to challenging deadlines
- Work with team of five warehousing staff to organize, pick, ensure work was completed efficiently and orders filled promptly
- Inspect product for quality and report issues and discrepancies to supervisors
- Sort and organize materials on racks, bins, and shelves based on shapes and sizes
- Gain experience with operating forklift, shrink wrap machines, bar codes and shipping documents
- Follow company and warehouse and warehouse industry safety policies
- Apply labels to product accurately to guarantee outbound product is properly stacked, sequenced, and securely wrapped
- Communicate regularly with retail store via telephone and email to determine needs of retail location and adapt schedule according to changing priorities to ensure urgent orders were shipped first
- Liaise with supplies to ensure materials supplied meets requestors specification
- Inventory of price of materials as well as supplier's details
- Maintain of proper record of In-Stacked materials and issued materials through data entry
- Receive goods in store with approval from requestor
- Exercise general control over all activities in store department
- Operate and inspect various classes of material equipment
- Ensure safe keeping both as quality and quantity of materials
- Issue of materials and proper documentation
- Create In-House process to enhance smooth operation and efficiency with regards to meeting requestors need
