Operate and monitor polyethylene process units and associated plant equipment to maintain safe, stable and efficient production.

• Conduct routine field rounds and inspect equipment for abnormal conditions, leaks, vibration, temperature and pressure deviations.
• Monitor process parameters and communicate abnormal operating conditions to the Control Room for timely corrective action.
• Support normal plant operation, start-up, shutdown and emergency operating activities in accordance with approved procedures.
• Interpret P&IDs and PFDs to understand process flow, equipment relationships, valves and isolation points.
• Participate in Permit-to-Work, JSA, risk assessment and LOTO activities before maintenance and other non-routine work.
• Coordinate with Control Room, Maintenance and Engineering teams during equipment troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
• Operate and monitor pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, vessels, reactors, valves and other process equipment.
• Experience in raw-material purification and preparation for polyethylene production.
• Handle and monitor catalyst and co-catalyst systems in accordance with operating and safety procedures.
• Participate in polymerization/reaction operations, maintaining process conditions within established operating limits.
• Experience with separation and catalyst-removal operations.
• Support additive preparation, metering and injection activities.
• Experience in extrusion and pelletization, including monitoring of process conditions and equipment.
• Monitor pellet handling and storage operations.
• Support distillation and solvent recovery operations.
• Work with supporting utility systems including steam, cooling systems and nitrogen-related operations.
• Maintain accurate operating logs and provide effective shift handover information.
• Report equipment defects and process abnormalities and support corrective actions.
• Maintain good housekeeping and ensure compliance with HSE and process-safety requirements.
• Participate in emergency response activities, drills and safe plant isolation procedures.
