I am Adegbite Oluwatobi Adesola. I’m a graduate of Law at Olabisi Onabanjo University. I attended Nigerian Law School Enugu, Agbani Campus for my LLB and had my NYSC at the Ministry of Justice Osogbo where I worked as a State counsel and represented the State. I also worked with the Director of Public Defender and citizen’s Rights in Mediation.
I proceeded to Funmi Tijani & Co. where I functioned as a Junior Counsel. I assisted in representing parties in various matters and different levels and also represented the firm in a Few Amcon matters at the Federal High Court.
I have over 5 years of experience in various aspects of Law and I have been opportune to work on various transactions including input and output corporate commercial, I’ve also worked on finance transactions such as Mortgages, Loans, and projects Finances. I have also represented clients in litigation and mediation.
I’m a resilient and average worker capable of functioning in a team and independently. I possess research, drafting, and communication skills.
I am passionate about my work. I love what I do, and I have a steady source of motivation that drives me to do my best. In my current job, this passion led me to challenge myself daily and learn new skills that help me to do better work. I am ambitious and passion-driven. I thrive on challenges and constantly set goals for myself, so l have something to strive towards. I'm not comfortable with settling, and I'm always looking for an opportunity to do better and achieve greatness.
I am highly organized. I always take notes, and I use a series of tools to help myself stay on top of deadlines. I like to keep a clean workspace and create a logical filing method so I'm always able to find what I need. I find this increases efficiency and also helps the rest of the team stay on track. In my current role, I helped in creating a new filing process that increased departmental efficiency by 25 percent.
I am results-oriented, constantly checking in to determine how close or how far away we are and what it will take to make it happen. I find this pressure inspiring and a great motivator for the rest of the team. In fact, over the past year, I was able to help my team in achieving our set goals despite the challenges faced as a result of the endsars protest and the Covid 19 pandemic.
My interest career is to be a seasoned mediator and arbitrator and most importantly a technology lawyer vast in the experience of coporate commercial law and finance. My interest circularly includes reading, traveling, cooking, volunteering, and meeting people. I love to meditate and also exercise my body so that I can keep myself healthy.
I believe, one should practice a lot of sports to keep oneself healthy. A healthy mind works better. So, it is very important to keep yourself healthy to get focused. I am also very fond of watching various movies and I love to travel as I’ve been to over 10 states in Nigeria.
I am a very adventurous person too and like to take risks. I like to do creative things besides doing old stuff again and again. Learning new things is one thing that I always enjoy.
As every man has weaknesses, so do I have also. My greatest weakness is I am the biggest critic of my work. I find it difficult to let go of my project. To tackle this, I try as much as possible to complete my task early enough to give me enough room to review my work.
Also, because I am independent and enjoy working quickly, it has been difficult for me to ask for help when I need it. I have learned that it is much more beneficial for both me and the business to reach out when I do not understand something or feel burned out with my workload.
Everybody has an ambition in life. Aim or ambition is the inner aspiration of man. No man can do anything in the world without aim. So, I’m always determined about my aim in life. Without good career planning, right from the start, one can't be on the right track. One has to set the goals by his or her broad career goals.
These are all the things that express me. Though nobody can be described in a few sets of sentences. One needs to have yet command of oneself before going to write something about his life. Life is meant to be lived avidly and with visualization to do good for your fellow beings. Keeping this aim in mind, I have always desired to serve my people in whatever capacity I can.
Life is a jar of both happiness as well as sadness. Getting always what we want, is not the nature of life. Thus, one needs to keep oneself always motivated to the highest level.Follow the footprints of the great men to never be discouraged and keep yourself focused on your goal.
I would be honored to work in a fast-paced organization and I believe learning from the vast experiences of associate partners in this firm would spur my growth
