My name is Victor Akan Asuquo, and I am an experienced Audit, Risk Management, and Internal Control professional with over 12 years of progressive experience across manufacturing and operations environments.
I currently serve as the Head of Internal Audit at Beyond Clothing Nigeria Limited, where I lead the internal audit function, strengthen internal controls, drive compliance initiatives, and support management in identifying and mitigating operational, financial, strategic, and compliance risks.
Throughout my career, I have successfully conducted risk assessments, developed control frameworks, investigated operational inefficiencies, improved governance processes, and provided recommendations that enhanced profitability and operational effectiveness. I am a seasoned Audit, Risk Management, and Internal Controls professional with over 12 years of progressive experience spanning manufacturing, hospitality, and food production industries.
Currently, I serve as Head of Internal Audit at Beyond Clothing Nigeria Limited, where I provide independent assurance on governance, risk management, and internal control processes. I lead risk-based audits, evaluate operational efficiency, strengthen compliance frameworks, investigate control weaknesses, and support management in mitigating strategic, operational, financial, and compliance risks across the organization.
Prior to this role, I held various audit and finance-related positions where I gained extensive experience in inventory management, process reviews, fraud prevention, cost control, financial reporting, and business risk assessments. My career progression has enabled me to develop a strong understanding of enterprise-wide risk management and operational excellence within dynamic business environments.
I began my professional journey with Food Affairs Nigeria Limited, where I built a solid foundation in financial controls, inventory audits, compliance monitoring, and operational reviews. This early experience shaped my passion for governance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
