You will join the Amsterdam-based financial centre of a globally recognised industrial group. This is a company behind real-world engineering at massive scale: energy, industrial technology, transport, critical infrastructure and advanced physical systems used across the world.

Behind a company of that size sits a financial and operational backbone that cannot simply pause. Your office is small, with a lot of impact, while having such major influence on how the global business will o perate.

International entities need to connect securely. Banks, SaaS providers and external applications need to exchange sensitive data safely. Payments and financial data flows need to move reliably. Access needs to be controlled, auditable and secure.

That is where you come in.

You will help bring a modern cloud-first Azure environment into production, then become one of the key technical owners of how this environment is secured, operated and improved over time.

This is the attractive contradiction of the role: you get the scale, reputation and complexity of a global industrial group, but locally you work in a compact Amsterdam team where your judgement, ownership and technical decisions a re visible.

Your role: Senior Azure Cloud Engin eer Amsterdam The centre of gravity is not AKS, GitOps or CI/CD. The real work sits where identity, access, networking, applications and external inte grations meet.

You will get to work on:Entra ID, Conditional Access, RBAC/PIM, Enterprise Applications and Ap p RegistrationsB2B/guest access, external/vendor access and secure onboarding of group entitiesAzure Firewall, VNets, routing, Private Endpoints, Private DNS and secure outbound connectivity secure access to Azure PaaS services and extern al applicationsproduction troubleshooting across identity, DNS, networking, firewall rules and app lication accessgovernance, operational standards, auditability and careful ch ange management

This role is not only about configuring Azure services. You need to be able to explain what is happening, why it matters, what the risk is and what decision should be made. The eng ineering challenge The challenge is making secure cloud operations work around the financial artery of a globa l industrial group.

You will think abou t questions such as:How do we securely connect international entities, vendors and applications without creati ng an identity mess?How do we give the right people access without creating standing privilege or unm anaged guest access?How do we make Private Endpoints, DNS, firewalling and application connectivity reliable en ough for production?How do we keep the platform secure and auditable while still allowing t he business to move?

Because the local team is compact, you will not be one of fifty engineers maintaining a tiny corner of a giant platform. You will become one of the people others turn to when secure access, connectivity or Azure operations n eed to work pr operly. What is asked?

You have strong experience as a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer, Azure Platform Engineer, Azure Consultant, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, Cloud Secur ity Engineer or similar.You have worked on serious Azure environments where security, reliability, governance and produc tion ownership mattered.You bring hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD, ideally including Conditional Access, RBAC, PIM, Enterprise Applications, App Registratio ns, B2B or guest access.You understand Azure networking and secure connectivity, including several of the following: Azure Firewall, VNets, routing, Private Endpoints, Private DNS, ExpressRoute, secure outbound connectivity or hybrid connectivity.You still enjoy hands-on engineering, troubleshooting, changes, incidents, operational improvements and stakeholder support.You can explain technical topics clearly to non-technical stakeholder s and external partners.You have ideally seen multiple Azure environments, for example through consultancy, managed services, Microsoft-partner work, enterprise transformations or large regulated organisations. You speak fluent English
