Data Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Develop solutions from data source to final report, extracting data from various financial, HR, and tax applications, as well as external sources.
• Build and manage necessary connections and ETL processes, working with databases, files, APIs, and web services.
• Analyze data flows, apply business rules, and translate them into understandable and explainable data marts and data models.
• Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that are actively used by colleagues.
• Optimize SQL queries and data processing operations.
• Troubleshoot issues and monitor data quality.

What You'll Need

• Demonstrable HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Significant experience with ETL processes, data warehousing, and data modeling.
• Proven experience with scripting languages like PowerShell and/or Python.
• Experience developing dashboards and reports in Power BI.
• Experience with data analysis in SQL.
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, data quality, privacy, and information security.
• The ability to be operational independently and quickly.
