Senior Data Engineer | Amsterdam | €90k–100k + stock options

This one's worth a proper look.

Tight-knit engineering team, working on complex products where security is paramount and infrastructure that's already handling serious volume. but the data side of the house still has plenty of runway left to build out.

They need a senior data engineer who can drop in, figure out how things actually work, ask awkward questions where needed, and end up with real say over what the platform becomes.

Honestly, that's the bit that stands out to me most.

On the technical side, the core is Airbyte, dbt, SQL and Python. Not just familiarity, but genuine comfort owning pipelines in production and knowing what to do when something quietly breaks overnight. Alongside that: GCP and AWS, cloud storage and IAM, and solid engineering instincts applied to data infrastructure rather than just app code.

Kafka, streaming setups, Lakehouse thinking, semantic layers, Kubernetes/Helm/Terraform nice-to-haves, not gatekeeping requirements and certainly not a box-ticking exercise.

What I want is someone who can look at an existing data platform, understand the reasoning behind its design, notice where it's creaking, and have a considered view on where it should go particularly as AI and MLOps work starts leaning more heavily on this stack.
