Embedded Software Engineer

We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer – Precision Solutions for one of our high-tech clients in the Eindhoven region.

About our client

Our client is an established high-tech company that develops and manufactures advanced electronics, software and mechatronic systems for demanding applications in sectors such as semiconductors, healthcare, mobility, energy and industry.

Engineering and manufacturing are combined within one organization, covering the full product life cycle from concept and system architecture to testing, industrialization and series production. This creates an environment where software engineers work closely with hardware, mechanics and system engineering and can see their solutions become part of real high-tech products.

The Challenge

You will work within a high-precision technology program focused on complex systems for markets such as semiconductors, life sciences and medical technology.

You work on embedded software at the heart of advanced high-tech machines. Examples include precision platforms that move silicon wafers underneath inspection equipment, advanced camera systems used to detect extremely small defects on chips, and complete motion and imaging modules.

The products are developed from prototype through to series production, meaning you are involved not only in writing software, but also in understanding how your software interacts with hardware and contributes to the complete system.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, implement and validate embedded software solutions based on system requirements and architecture.
• Work on system-level solutions involving both hardware and software integration.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools and technical standards.
• Take end-to-end ownership of software features and subsystems, from requirements analysis through implementation and validation.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Embedded Systems, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Around 2 years of experience in embedded software development.
• Experience developing embedded software in complex technical environments.
• Strong programming skills in C++.
• Experience with development and collaboration tools such as Bamboo, Bitbucket and Jira.
• A proactive mindset and strong sense of ownership.
• You enjoy building complex technical systems rather than standalone software applications.
• Able to collaborate effectively across technical disciplines while taking responsibility for your own deliverables.

• Salary range of €3,500 – €4,500 gross per month, depending on experience and excluding holiday allowance.
