Full Stack Developer

Do you enjoy broad responsibility, technical ownership and seeing your work run on serious hardware? At Looper Engineering we are looking for a Full Stack Developer for a high-tech client in the Brainport region. You build the software that manages and operates advanced rack-scale computing systems, working across the full stack with a modern functional front end and high-performance backend services in Rust.

The role

• Location: Brainport region around Eindhoven.
• Experience: 5 or more years, including at least 3 years of full-stack development.
• Hours: 40 per week, full time.
• Salary: competitive, indicatively between €3,500 and €5,200 gross per month depending on experience.

What you will do

• Design, build and validate application software based on functional requirements and architectural specifications, together with software architects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Own software features and subsystems end to end, from requirements and design to implementation, testing and validation, with real attention to usability.
• Design, implement and test APIs and interfaces between software components, services and the underlying hardware.
• Help evolve a common software platform that is reused across multiple products.
• Contribute to improving development processes, tools, architecture and technical standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across the application layer and the underlying platform, together with software, electronics and system engineers.

What you bring

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Embedded Systems or a related field.
• Five or more years of software development experience in complex technical environments, including at least three years of full-stack work.
• Strong programming skills in Rust, C and Python.
• Experience with Elm or another functional front-end language is a plus.
• Experience developing applications and services on Linux.
• Experience building both front-end and back-end systems, including software architecture and RESTful API design.
