The Role

• Lead and mentor a mixed team of Software and Hardware Engineers.
• Act as the technical owner for an integrated inspection system, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Define architectural direction and translate new ideas into clear technical specifications.
• Manage external design and manufacturing partners to ensure quality and delivery.
• Oversee the full product lifecycle from concept to deployment and ongoing optimisation.
• Drive quality standards, testing practices, and CI/CD improvements.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to gather feedback and enhance the product.

Your Skills and Experience

• Strong leadership capability, guiding multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Deep understanding of integrated hardware‑software systems, ideally including optics, sensors, or computer vision.
• Experience collaborating with external partners for physical design and manufacturing.
• Strong technical foundation in backend engineering with Python, ideally in production environments.
• Skilled in integrating hardware components with software systems.
• Solid understanding of software testing practices and quality assurance.
• Familiarity with Linux environments is a plus.
• Clear and confident communication skills.
