The software plays an essential role within complex Dutch infrastructure. /ppThe challenge is not only technical. The applications contain highly complex business logic, with many rules, dependencies and exceptions that all need to work correctly. /ppUnderstanding that logic and translating it into clear, maintainable and testable code is an important part of the role. /ppAI has also become an integral part of the development process. Teams actively use AI tools for development, analysis, documentation and testing.

Your own technical expertise remains essential: you determine whether the proposed solution is actually the right one. /pWhat will you be working on?ulliDesigning and building robust software using Java and Spring Boot /liliDeveloping frontend functionality in Angular /liliAnalysing complex business logic and translating it into clear, testable solutions /liliDiscussing architecture and technical decisions with the Lead Architect /liliUsing AI tools intelligently and critically reviewing AI-generated code /liliPair programming and supporting less experienced developers /li /ulYour technical environmentulliJava, currently including version 18, moving towards Java 21 /liliSpring Boot /liliAngular /liliDocker /liliGIS libraries such as Leaflet, with a transition towards OpenLayers and MapLibre /li /ulAbout the organisationpYou will work within a software and engineering organisation of around 120 professionals, which plays a key role in a complex Dutch information chain. /ppThis is not about administrative or financial software.
