Java Developer

Senior Java Backend Developer | Amsterdam area | 36 hrs/week

I’m currently looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer for a major organisation in the Amsterdam area, working on mission-critical digital platforms within a complex and highly dynamic environment.

You’ll be part of a team developing and supporting backend services that handle critical information flows across logistics, import/export and customs processes.

What you’ll be working with:

• Java / Spring Boot
• Docker & OpenShift / Kubernetes
• Git & SQL
• Jira
• Kafka & Splunk are a plus
• DevOps & Agile ways of working

Profile:

• 7 years of experience as a Backend Engineer
• Strong Java experience
• Experience with Spring Boot, Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• A proactive, hands-on “get things done” mentality
• Comfortable taking end-to-end ownership of technical challenges

Practical details:

• Amsterdam area
• 36 hrs/week
• Hybrid working
• Monday & Thursday are the preferred office days
• Dutch CV required
