Python DevOps Engineer

An opportunity for an experienced Python expert with a passion for DevOps and cloud-native solutions, to join a leading financial institution in the Netherlands. This role focuses on building a robust, scalable analytics platform in Azure, with a strong emphasis on automation, API development, and cloud-native engineering. You’ll be at the core of improving data accessibility and platform reliability across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build & Automate – Develop clean, maintainable Python applications and scripts that streamline workflows and integrate with diverse data sources
• Collaborate – Work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into smart technical solutions
• Optimize – Ensure platform stability through automation, monitoring, and rapid issue resolution
• Innovate – Leverage the latest Azure technologies to keep the platform modern and scalable

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience in DevOps or similar engineering roles within large-scale data/analytics platforms
• Strong experience with Azure services (Entra ID, Microsoft Graph API, Storage Accounts, CosmosDB)
• Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures and scalable deployments in Azure
• Proficiency in Python 3.x (clean, modular, testable code)
• Experience with modern Python practices (type hinting, async programming, dependency injection)
• API development experience (FastAPI, RESTful APIs, third-party integrations)
• Testing experience using pytest (mocking, API contract testing)
• Hands-on with Docker, CI/CD pipelines (preferably Azure DevOps), and deploying APIs in Azure
• Familiarity with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools
