Ruby on Rails Developer

Ruby on Rails Developer Location: Veldhoven, Netherlands (hybrid — onsite days required) Role Overview We're looking for an experienced Ruby on Rails Developer to join a fast-paced engineering team within a global high-tech manufacturing organisation. You'll work on building and maintaining scalable web applications that support critical internal business processes.

Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Ruby on Rails applications, ensuring high performance and scalability

Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code following best practices

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, QA, DevOps) in an Agile/Scrum environment

Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical design decisions

Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise existing applications

Integrate with RESTful APIs and third-party services

Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation Requirements 4+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails

Strong understanding of MVC architecture, RESTful design, and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL)

Experience with front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS; React or similar a plus)

Familiarity with Git, automated testing (RSpec), and CI/CD tools

Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams

Good communication skills in English Nice to Have Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Exposure to microservices architecture

Background in a large, international enterprise environment
