About the Role

Seeking a Senior Fullstack Java Engineer to help modernise partner technology and build scalable, event-driven microservices using Java, Spring and Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, event-driven microservices.
• Translate product requirements into technical solutions and API/event contracts.
• Develop clean, maintainable code and mentor junior developers.
• Maintain and modernise legacy .NET applications.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve platform reliability.
• Explore AI-driven tools and emerging technologies to improve development efficiency.
• Collaborate across engineering and product teams.

Requirements

• Strong Java/Spring or C#/.NET experience with microservices and design patterns.
• Full-stack development experience with React, Vue or similar.
• Hands-on AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm and CI/CD experience.
• Experience with Kafka, AWS SNS/SQS and relational/NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks such as JUnit and Testcontainers.
• Experience with distributed tracing tools such as OpenTelemetry or Datadog.
• Familiarity with PHP and cybersecurity practices.
• Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.

Location requirement: Amsterdam, with 3 days per week in the office.
