Senior Lead Backend Engineer – Java/Spring Boot, Cloud, DevOps

Key Responsibilities:<\/b>

• Lead the architecture, design, and development<\/b> of scalable backend systems using Java (or Kotlin), Spring Boot<\/b>, and modern service -oriented patterns.

• Implement event -driven and microservices architectures<\/b> using technologies like Kafka, MongoDB, PostgreSQL<\/b>, and containerized infrastructure.

  <\/p><\/li>

• Take ownership of full software lifecycle – from technical design to production operations<\/b>, ensuring code quality, reliability, and performance.

  <\/p><\/li>

• Define and enforce non -functional requirements<\/b> (security, scalability, maintainability, observability).

  <\/p><\/li>

• Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering technical growth and delivery excellence.

  <\/p><\/li>

• Drive cloud -native adoption and PaaS development using Azure, AWS, or GCP<\/b>, including managed services and Kubernetes -based deployments.

  <\/p><\/li>

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines<\/b> using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins<\/b>, with focus on automation and DevSecOps practices.

  <\/p><\/li>

• Collaborate with architects, product managers, and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.

  <\/p><\/li>

• Communicate technical risks, decisions, and status clearly to both technical and non -technical audiences.

  Requirements<\/h3>

  12+ years<\/b> of software development experience, with at least 8 years<\/b> in backend systems using:

  <\/p>

  • Java<\/b>, Spring Boot<\/b>, and optionally Kotlin<\/b>

    <\/p><\/li>

  • REST APIs<\/b>, Microservices<\/b>, Event -Driven Architecture<\/b>

    <\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li>

  • Strong experience with CI/CD<\/b> and DevOps tooling<\/b>:

    <\/p>

    • GitHub Actions<\/b>, Azure DevOps<\/b>, Jenkins<\/b>

      <\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li>

    • Hands -on expertise with containerization and orchestration:

      <\/p>

      • Docker<\/b>, Kubernetes<\/b>, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)<\/b> (or EKS/GKE)

        <\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li>

      • Experience with cloud -native services<\/b> on one or more: Azure<\/b>, AWS<\/b>, GCP<\/b>

        <\/p><\/li>

      • Experience with databases:

        <\/p>

        • MongoDB<\/b>, PostgreSQL<\/b>, and/or other NoSQL/SQL systems

          <\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li>

        • Familiarity with Kafka<\/b> or similar streaming/messaging platforms

        • Strong understanding of system design principles and non -functional requirements<\/b>
