An enthusiastic early years educator with 5 years of professional experience in creating safe, positive and activity-based care for children from 4 months - 8 years. Proven record of ability to adapt to each child/parent/practitioners’ needs. Working towards becoming a mentor to early years educators on providing the best care for the next generations. Highly complemented on caring, personable, and calm approach towards families I work with.
As an educator, I base my practice on equality, inclusion, and ethical care and I’m confident in my ability to positively contribute to children’s pre-school experience. Throughout the years I have provided excellent care to children between 4 months - 8 years old in different settings and roles. As a Room Leader for the toddler room, I was responsible for planning children’s curricula, developmental progress checks and mentored more than 5 practitioners.
As a Forest School Leader I guided practitioners to implement the Forest School ethos in their practice. I am currently self-employed providing childcare for families in Amsterdam. Working with children and parents in educational settings and at home has broadened my understanding of children’s development.
Furthermore, it has built my confidence in connecting with parents to work together effectively and efficiently for the children’s best interest.
I am a newly graduate of MSc in Pedagogical Sciences- Youth at Risk from the University of Amsterdam. The masters programme focused on how the children and adolescence are influenced by their social environment and how preventative interventions work to counter developmental risks and foster resilience. While working in daycares in London i obtained my Level 3 in Early Years Educator (Jan 2019) and Level 3 in Forest School Leader (Dec 2019).
I also hold a BA (Hons) in Education from the University of Brighton (2017).
