Carmen Potgieter

I am signed off as an audit clerk, with 3 years’ experience in auditing at Moore Stellenbosch Inc in South Africa. I have performed the planning, field work and finalization of audits in the agricultural, manufacturing, property investment and educational industries. I have performed reasonability tests for the of provision for bad debts, valuations of biological assets for a farm and created audit procedures in order to test the revenue of a convenience store.

I have been part of client meetings, leading the audit team and reporting back to my manager, as well as the audit partner.

During my career, I have not only grown as an Auditor through my increase in knowledge and technical capabilities, but also improved my emotional intelligence by developing my project management, team leading and mentoring skills. I have passed my ITC exam and I will have my APC results by the end of February 2023, in order to qualify as a Chartered Accountant.

I am a very hard-working and driven person who enjoys new and exciting challenges and opportunities. I love working in a team and believe that everyone has value and should be treated fairly. I love being outdoors after work, working in my garden, taking long walks on the beach, and going hiking on weekends.

My husband and I currently reside in South Africa, but we plan to immigrate to the Netherlands in April 2023.

I have finished my bachelors degree with honours in Financial Accounting at Stellenbosch University in 2019.
