I’m a Autodidact, analytical, forward-thinking and result-driven technologist with a big passion for new technologies and aversion for repetitive tasks.
I haveover 15 years of Engineering and Architecting experience with scalable H-A (private) cloud solutions like Kubernetes, Rancher, AWS, GCP, VMWare and Openstack and automation tools like Helm, Ansible and monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
Spreading the DevOps and agile mindset to improve collaboration and the software delivery process is one of my greatest passions.

ASML is the world's leader in the semiconductor (lithography) industry.
As a member of the Container Platform Services team I designed and developed a Rancher based Kubernetes stack that is used to manage the complete lifecycle of Kubernetes clusters. These clusters are used both as shared environments for software developers and as reusable cluster code, where teams can use the code to deploy their own dedicated clusters.

Solvinity is a “secure managed cloud provider” that assist companies and organizations in advancing their digital transition.
As part of a customer team for the Dutch Police I was responsible for the application lifecycle on Kubernetes. Using Rancher, Helm, Rundeck and Gitlab I developed and maintained CI-CD pipelines on kubernetes.
OIS is the Research, Information and Statistics department for the municipality of Amsterdam.
As cloud infrastructure engineer within the OIS Datapunt DevSecOps team my tasks concerned automating and optimizing cloud infrastructure deployment pipelines and designing and implementing new infrastructure components like a new monitoring stack with Prometheus, Grafana, Stackstorm, Slack and Opsgenie, a Rancher/Kubernetes environment and Ansible AWX.
Providing hands-on and architectural IT services on a freelance basis, supporting clients with IT infrastructure and cloud related expertise.

ING delivers financial services world wide with over 50.000 employees.
As part of an SRE squad I worked on creating and implementing error-budgeting as a service. For this service I designed an API using OpenAPI and implemented it using Golang. This API allowed to build Grafana, Prometheus and blackbox-exporter with custom probes in Docker containers with SLA/SLI/SLO configuration generated by the API service and publish them to a Docker registry
In order to support customers with the deployment of Uniface applications in the cloud I designed and built a continuous delivery test framework.
The key feature is the transparent support of multiple cloud providers including Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure and VMWare Vsphere (on premise) trough a single API.
The framework is triggered automatically for every release cycle of Uniface. It creates and provisions the required infrastructure, deploys and configures the required services to test against, then runs all regression tests, removes the infrastructure and generates reports.
As an operational consultant I help customers design, implement and optimize their (private) cloud strategies using DevOps and Agile methodologies.

IceMobile, part of the Alliance Data (NYSE: ADS) group, is a market-leading mobile service development agency. With a focus on creating mobile retail solutions, IceMobile is serving A-brand retailers around the world.
Latest project: Tech lead working on designing and implementing Terraform, Consul and Nomad for deploying AWS resources, service discovery/configuration management and container scheduling.
For IceMobile’s first Digital Loyalty Platform I designed and built a H-A virtualization platform in a data-center to host the DTAP environments.
The platform was mainly Java-based with a few NodeJS applications.
I used Ansible to create and manage multi-account, multi-region AWS resources and provision the with Packer created machine images. All services were Dockerized, apart from some management services. Jenkins was used to build the Docker containers and Packer images, Rundeck to automate deployments and assist in auto-scaling.
After 2 years at IceMobile I moved to the position of IT manager for a team of engineers and support technicians which would grow to a total of 6 while continuing doing engineering work.
For the office IT services and develop and test environments I designed and built a Xen-based H-A virtualization platform with a H-A SAN.
I joined IceMobile in the position as IT Engineer when there were around 15 employees and helped it grow to 100+ people within 5 years.
