David is intrigued by the dynamic Cyber Security issues bring with them. The constant variety and the necessity to innovate because of the consequences of cyber threats are his passion.

David is very enthusiastic and can use his soft skills to motivate people so that they can achieve amazing results. He prefers working in a team where the people trust each other completely from a business point of view. He finds it easy to build trust through a combination of his personal motives and his knowledge of the field.

As a Senior Security Specialist, David has gained experience in building and professionalizing a SOC (Security Operations Center) within various organizations. Across multiple large and complex environments, David has worked in SOC operations for more than 14 years. His main responsibilities were:

• Building and developing a SOC
• Increasing the maturity level of a SOC
• Security monitoring, analysis, and incident response (L3)
• Content engineering (expanding and tuning security monitoring capabilities)
• Management and migration of the SIEM environment

David is very practical and has a structured approach, which makes him employable as:

• SOC Specialist
• SOC Analyst L3
• Security Consultant

David wants to add value to the field of information security. He does this by giving well-founded advice that is based on the right analyses. He believes that a good analysis starts with an optimally organized SOC environment.
