Internship with QmandS B.V (B2B)
QmandS B.V. creates unforgettable experiences for businesses, by planning and executing events, as well as compiling trips abroad for various organizations. During this time, I had the opportunity to plan teambuilding activities for clients, participate in the events, and work behind the scenes to make it all happen.
This experience has provided me with valuable skills with regards to SEO, sales, content creation for the products/services, website building and editing, amongst others. My supervisor allowed me to manage and create content for 5 to 7 websites, while consequently taking care of the reachability and SEO scores.
During this internship, I additionally learned how to take on various duties at the same time and multitask, while prioritizing the projects that needed attention first. Furthermore, I researched the MICE industry, held interviews to determine what the competition is doing, and established a marketing and sales strategy in order to reach the desired target audience for their new business model. Additionally, it has helped me in further developing my proactive nature and enhancing my analytical skills, by looking at performance data and improving it where necessary.
KLG Europe B.V. (B2B)
KLG Europe B.V. is a leading logistics service provider in Europe. In 2019, the company agreed to transfer its ownership to Sinotrans. Until 31-12-2021, I worked at KLG Europe Venlo B.V. as an Inside Sales Representative.
My main tasks during this period consisted out of providing (ad hoc) transport quotes for B2B customers, taking care of communication channels to reach customers through letters/emails/PowerPoints, and acting as an intermediary by processing all (ad hoc) transport requests from the office in Eersel.
Furthermore, tasks consisted out of official company letters to inform customers of new promotions or changes within the firm, as well as more administrative work, such as the adjustments to preceding quotes that were required to accommodate the year-end cost increase for all the existing customers. During this time, communication between various teams and direct communication with customers were key in making sure all processes went smoothly.
Bachelor International Business & Management studies – Fontys University of Applied Sciences (Eindhoven, September 2016 – February 2021). Subjects Include: Business Research, International Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Business Process Improvement, Neuromarketing, International Marketing, Sports Marketing, Law & Ethics, Marketing Analytics, Services Marketing and Online Campaigning.
During my studies, I quickly discovered that my interests lie in the marketing world. Traditional marketing, online marketing, neuromarketing, international marketing, service marketing, you name it. One of the subjects we had the opportunity to choose was neuromarketing.
The subject was by far the most interesting course during my bachelor. It was an educational period for me, and this has steered me in a specific direction (consumer neuroscience). Over the years after my studies, I started to read more about product management, and yet again a new world opened for me.
If I were to describe my perfect job, it would be to start with a product management role within a company. After a while, it would be great to learn more about consumer neuroscience, to be able to apply it to the products within the company.
