Ghassem Baridi

I am Ghassem Baridi, a PhD holder in Biomedical Engineering (Nanotechnology) from the Department of Engineering "Enzo Ferrari" at University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. My research focuses on nanotechnology, graphene-based biosensors, and advanced biomedical sensing technologies, with particular expertise in the development and optimization of graphene field-effect transistor (GFET) biosensors, graphene-enhanced surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensors, and optoelectronic sensing platforms for biomedical applications. Rossella, I investigated graphene-based biosensors for physiological tissue analysis, combining experimental nanofabrication and characterization techniques with computational modeling and COMSOL-based multiphysics simulations. My expertise spans graphene technologies, nanomaterial characterization, quantum and nonlinear optical modeling, biomedical instrumentation, and smart sensing systems. By integrating experimental and simulation-driven approaches, I aim to enhance the sensitivity, accuracy, and biomedical applicability of next-generation biosensors, contributing to innovative healthcare diagnostics and advanced sensing technologies.

I worked as a Physics Teacher with the Ministry of Education of Iran for more than ten years, teaching physics to secondary and high school students in consistent with the national curriculum. My responsibilities included preparing lesson plans, teaching on topics such as mechanics, electricity, and thermodynamics, and leading laboratory experiments and demonstrations to support theoretical learning. I helped students' advance through exams, tasks, and practical activities, while fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills in the classroom.

I also collaborated with colleagues and school staff to increase teaching methods and support students' academic progress.
