If someone asked me 10 years ago, where would I picture myself today, my prediction would be pretty accurate. Back then, finance and investments were ,for me, complicated instruments that responsible people with suits were worried about. Now, the only change I would apply is to replace the word "complicated" with "intriguing".

Having worked 5 summer seasons, during my Bachelor studies was a pre-eminent experience. I was part of a hospitality firm and my favourite part was that we worked with clients. My role was mainly auditing, logistics managment and pricing. The firm's success was measured mostly with occupancy/period and that was increased from 76% for summer 2017 to 99% for summer 2022, with some fluctuations within 2020 due to the pandemic. This is a statistic that the whole team was proud of.

However developing a team with same interests and a company that solved real client problems on real estate, was were the challenge was smouldering. The participation on this project was one of the most significant lessons for me. Practice is the best way to learn and the ability to work on real sittuations is thrilling.

Today, while working on my master thesis, an extraordinaire 1 year financial program is comming to an end. Netherlands is an alluring place to stay and that is my plan. I am looking for a job possition in finance, wealth managment or real estate. Learning new things is not an obstacle but a desire, it never stops and that is also part of my plan.

Key responsibilities

• Price optimazation using demand based pricing models. Using the data of everyday past and expected arrivals, online searches, total occupancy of the available hotels in our area and more, we priced each individual week of the season or made discounts accordingly. We used a dynamic approach that updated the prices frequently.
• Logistics managment for the ressuplition of the Hotel, again, based on total occupancy and forecasted arrivals.
• Daily accounting with the use of bookkeeping software, updating invoices and monitoring of the total revenue/costs.

All the goals our team set every year were surpassed while we selebrated a remarkable 99% occupancy in the past season.
