I would like to apply for the position of assistant head . I am confident that my qualifications, skills and experience provide me with the capabilities to fulfill the position and add significant value to the school.

As a teacher, I am skilled in employing a differentiated approach to provide a student-centered learning environment that encourages resourcefulness and critical thinking while promoting tolerance, respect and emotional security for a diverse student group.
I always strive for the development of innovative instructional strategies, materials and methodologies to address varied student needs.
I utilize a range of diagnostic assessments to closely monitor progress towards the achievement of curriculum goals and student performance objective.
I'm currently teaching English in middle school at the International French School of Amsterdam. I am used to leadership positions, as I used to coordinate the OIB and worked as go-between between the French Ministry of Education and Cambridge. I know the German system well, as I spent 5 years teaching English at the Lycée Franco-Allemand in Buc.
I have experience teaching in engineering schools as I was part of the English speaking team for many years at Ecole Centrale Supelec.
I'm currently also head of English at the International School of Amsterdam, and I'm in charge of setting a brand new international section, overseeing the recruiting process, as well as organizing the entrance tests of the students aiming to enter the international section. I coordinate the English language curriculum for both secondary and primary school. As the school is quite small and the students are often under a lot of pressure, I am used to assisting them with personal problems, and strive to help them stay on track academically, also encouraging them stay involved in extracurricular activities despite the workload.
My commitment to ensuring each student is provided with the capabilities necessary to become successful and contributing members of a dynamic community is evident in my availability to students and parents beyond the instructional day and my ongoing professional development activities relevant to the student population.
