My goal in working part-time jobs is to build as much experience as is possible in various work environments, as well as to stimulate the development of my skills by working jobs that generally involve meeting and working alongside people.
June 2017 – August 2018 Assistant-Teacher • Animo • Willemstad, Curacao
I’ve worked as an assistant teacher at Animo back during the summer of 2018, as well as short while during the summer of 2017. My job included assisting certified trainers to coach children between the ages of 4 and 12, teaching them gymnastics and freerunning. I worked multiple weeks during the summer vacations and based on demand.
June 2021 – September 2021 Employee • Bonita Beach Club Snack-bar • Willemstad, Curacao
During my part-time employment at Bonita Beach Club, I took on various roles such as cashier, working behind the grill and deep fryer, preparing, and stocking our freezers, as well as cleaning to maintain a hygienic work environment. My work schedule would vary between working 3 to 5 days a week, with 6-11 hours shifts.
December 2021 – February 2022 Server • Bonita Beach Club Restaurant • Willemstad, Curacao
I applied Bonita Beach Club again back in December, they accepted me with open arms and gave me a position in the restaurant as a server on the beach. My work included taking orders, bringing them out and charging people for rented beds.
November 2021 – March 2022 Guide • Hato Caves • Willemstad, Curacao
My job entailed taking groups of people, ranging up to 40 people per group, on a guided tour in the caves of Hato. Tours would typically last up to an hour and would be given by me in both Dutch and English.
April 2022 – Augustus 2022 Runner/Server • Witsand Beachclub • Noordwijk, Zuid-Holland
My job at Witsand Beachclub was my first since arriving in The Netherlands. I started off as a runner but quickly progressed to working as a server at events held there such as wedding and birthday celebrations, aswell as working behind the beachbar there. Sadly, with my school being in the Hague and me eventually wanting to move there, I’ve had to leave my job at the beachclub and the friends I made there
