A recent master's graduate in Heritage Studies who are looking for employment opportunities in museums, archival management, exhibition spaces and so on. Had previous experience in research, exhibition planning, object registering and archiving in both the Netherlands and Hong Kong.
During my master's programme I was a student intern at the Textile Research Centre in Leiden where I carried out a variety of tasks, which includes developing and researching for a reference collection of Indonesian ikats, producing video content for the centre, processing incoming objects and setting up new exhibitions. Before coming to the Netherlands, I was a research assistant at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum where I helped research and prepare for a thematic exhibition on food culture in the Chinese imperial court. I also processed a large collection of comic manuscripts received by the museum and registered them onto the museum's archival system.
I have recently completed my master's degree in Heritage and Memory Studies at the University of Amsterdam. The 1.5 year programme focuses on the theory surrounding the politics of heritage-building in our modern world and discusses issue concerning how historical narratives are shaped and utilised according to different agenda. The programme also includes a field trip project to Kamp Westerbork in the Netherlands where student collaborated together to work on an exhibition proposal and a class excursion to Rome, Italy where the class would present an discuss heritage issues on site.
