Naómi Oosthuizen

I am a self-started, motivated, deeply curious person. I am also a mum, wife, sister, aunt and future Googler.

I bring passion, enthusiasm, humour and a long list of banking skills to the table. I am valuable.

With over 10 years of executive experience in IT management, risk, compliance, and audit, I lead the IT area for group services at ING, one of the largest banking and financial services companies in Europe. I am responsible for technical product management, strategic platform management, AI with focus on NLG for reporting, enterprise risk management, compliance delivery, regulatory delivery, and group risk change delivery across all assets. I also oversee the risk architecture, IS risk management, cyber security, and data risk management for the domain.

I am passionate about future-proofing IT and strategy development for banking, leveraging FinTech, automation, AI, and data analytics. I have a proven track record of designing, managing, and delivering multi-disciplinary strategic initiatives in complex financial services environments, aligning with industry and regulatory standards and requirements. I have a people-first mentality and focus on creating purpose-fueled diverse teams that deliver capability-based value, using democratic and strategic leadership styles.

I am also an advocate for women empowerment and sustainability in the IT and banking sectors.

I am currently the IT Area Lead for Group Risk, Compliance and Audit where I lead a team of 50 people to deliver ICT and change-as-a-service, including IT Risk Management Services, for our Group Risk, Compliance and Audit stakeholders, across 40 countries.

I report to the Group CIO to whom I also provide strategic consulting services and day to day business management services.

I hold a masters degree in IT from Tilburg University as well as various other certifications and diplomas.
