I'm Robert Vossokov, an Estonian analyst finishing an MSc in International Financial Management at the University of Groningen after a BSc in Business Analytics at Maastricht. Both degrees pushed me to work at the seam between finance and data, and I have stayed there ever since.
My MSc thesis (9/10) built a novel AI adoption index from 10-Q filings and showed a J-shaped relationship between adoption and firm productivity, where only around 13% of firms invest enough to gain returns. My BSc thesis used simulation to optimize fee structures for nodes in Bitcoin's Lightning Network. In between, I have shipped applied work: a retail fraud detection model that hit 47% precision on self-checkout theft and projected around €500K in annual savings per store, and a last-mile delivery network optimization that cut a postal carrier's operating costs by €117K per year (8.6%).
More recently I designed and built a real estate business intelligence platform for an independent agent using Claude Code. It scrapes government transaction data, aggregates 300+ live owner-listed properties, and tracks social media analytics for the agent and his competitors.
My toolkit covers Python, R, SQL, advanced Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Claude Code, and Directo ERP, plus the standard financial databases (Capital IQ, FactSet, LSEG Workspace, Orbis, Compustat, BoardEx via WRDS).
On the personal side, I pick up tools quickly (Claude Code is self-taught, and the real estate platform is the proof), I like building things end to end (I co-founded a bamboo toothbrush brand at 19 and sold 350+ units), and I move easily across cultures and languages: fluent Estonian, English, and Russian, basic Swedish.
Most recent work is independent: since 2025 I have designed and built a real estate business intelligence platform for an agent in Estonia using Claude Code, scraping government transaction data, aggregating 300+ live owner-listed properties from multiple sites, and tracking social media analytics for the agent and his competitors.
Before that, I spent four years as Operations Assistant at DRB OÜ (DOU restaurant) in Tallinn, coordinating staff scheduling, supplier communication, and the kitchen and front-of-house workflow, on-site during breaks and remote during semesters. In parallel I ran social media, in-store campaigns, and paid advertising for the Riidekapp clothing retail brand for four years.
At 19 I co-founded 2Brush, a bamboo toothbrush subscription brand, leading a 3-person team across pricing, accounting, supplier relationships, and logistics. We sold 350+ units before winding the brand down.
