With over a decade of experience in the technology industry, I have established myself as a seasoned expert in building and leading highly efficient engineering teams. As the Head of the Architecture Department at Atida, I have spearheaded the creation of a vision and capability for the engineering team, comprising over 60 highly skilled professionals. I foster an engineering culture that promotes innovation and growth, emphasizing agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
I have transformed our teams to be highly dynamic, autonomous, and fully remote, enabling us to attract and retain top talent from around Europe. Overall, my expertise in leading engineering teams in a dynamic and innovative environment has enabled me to deliver significant value in the technology domain.
In addition to my team-building and technical expertise, I also bring extensive experience in budget management (e.g., CapEx and OpEx) and vendor management. I work closely with the CTO to set the direction and approach for Atida's technical activities, and my responsibilities include developing and improving the IT landscape, optimizing business processes and operations, and integrating information applications and programs. I ensure alignment with Atida’s strategies and investor priorities while maintaining a balance between functional and technical requirements to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions that meet business needs.
I also serve as a crucial member of the clean team for M&A transactions, responsible for conducting technology due diligence and designing acquisition integration strategies that align with company’s long-term goals and growth trajectory. Overall, my broad range of skills and experience enables me to lead the Architecture Department with confidence and to consistently deliver value to the organization.
In addition, my previous roles as a Technology Evangelist have enabled me to engage with IT market gurus and draw technology vision, mission, and strategies that are widely recognized as innovative and forward-thinking. Notably, my PhD research involved designing a reference architecture for a modern business process management system that has been successfully implemented in many systems, including Building Blocks' Data Platform, serving all the company's clients.
I have established myself as a prominent thought leader and expert in the technology industry, having delivered numerous public talks at prestigious events such as the Excite event in Berlin 2021 and serving as a panelist for highly some highly regarded events such as MACH (Microservices-based, API-first, Cloud-native SaaS, and Headless) in Amsterdam. Additionally, I have contributed significantly to the field through my seminal work as the writer of “A Systematic Literature Review on the Architecture of Business Process Management Systems”, which has been published in a top-tier academic journal and has been widely cited by fellow professionals.
Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience working with a variety of technologies in various projects. This includes implementing a headless e-commerce platform using GO, React, Next.JS, AWS, Algolia, Contentful, Spryker, Segment, Yotpo and more, as well as designing and developing a data science platform using Java EE, Scala, Spark, and Azure Cloud Services. I have also worked as a solution architect and data engineer on a recommendation engine built with Java Spring Boots, Hibernate, JPA, JAXB, AXIS, Apache POI, and Angular 2.0+.
In addition, I have experience working with Solidity Smart Contract, MetaMask, Ropston TestNet, NodeJS for an Ethereum App, and with ASP.NET C# for building a land agency storefront, implementing a storefront with laptop customization, and more.
Nevertheless, I am not your typical director who follows a predefined structure. Instead, I am a leader who thrives on challenging the status quo and driving innovation.
