Computer Engineering —
About The Role
We're partnering with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, more reliable AI — and we need expert computer engineers to make it happen. As an AI Data Trainer, you'll stress-test advanced language models on deep technical topics, expose their weaknesses, and help shape how the next generation of AI reasons about hardware and systems.
This is a rare opportunity to apply your engineering expertise in a high-impact, fully remote, and flexible freelance role.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Design Complex Engineering Challenges —
- Craft advanced problems spanning RISC-V/ARM architecture, FPGA development, memory management, hardware-software co-design, and more
- Author Ground-Truth Solutions —
- Produce rigorous, step-by-step technical solutions including assembly code, HDL snippets (Verilog/VHDH), and architectural diagrams that serve as reference-quality "golden responses" for AI training
- Audit AI-Generated Technical Content —
- Evaluate AI outputs —
- C/C++ code, logic gate designs, OS kernels — for correctness, efficiency, and alignment with industry standards
- Refine AI Reasoning —
- Identify flaws in AI logic such as race conditions, memory leaks, or improper timing constraints, and deliver structured feedback to improve model performance
Who You Are
- Academically Qualified —
- Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science (hardware focus), or a closely related field
- Domain Expert —
- Strong foundational knowledge in one or more of: Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, Digital Logic Design, or Operating Systems
- A Clear Communicator —
- Able to explain complex hardware concepts and low-level software logic in precise, well-structured written form
- Detail-Oriented —
- High precision when working with bit-level operations, clock-cycle timing, and technical documentation
- No prior AI experience required — your engineering expertise is what matters
Nice to Have
- Experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI evaluation workflows
- Familiarity with engineering software tools such as MATLAB, SolidWorks, or ANSYS
- Background in hardware security, networking, distributed systems, or IoT
