Compassionate and reliable support worker currently studying the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 4) – Peer Support. My long-term goal is to complete the Bachelor of Applied Counselling at Manukau Institute of Technology and build a career supporting people experiencing mental health, addiction and life challenges. I have practical experience working as a Casual Support Worker with Auckland City Mission's Social Detox Service, where I support clients experiencing alcohol and drug dependency.
This role strengthened my communication skills, empathy, professional boundaries and ability to remain calm in challenging situations. Alongside my support work experience, I bring over 30 years of professional experience managing people, leading teams and working under pressure in hospitality. This has given me exceptional interpersonal skills, resilience, problem-solving ability and a genuine passion for helping others.
