My Name is Te Oka Toia. I am in my second year of a bachelor's degree in dance studies. I seek to complete a teaching diploma once I have completed my qualification so That I can work as a teacher in a Kura Kaupapa Māori.
I also have experience acting, voice acting, teaching dance and theatre. I currently work part-time in finance and run my business in the tourism sector. I am a Te Kura Kaupapa Māori ō Hoani Waititi graduate fluent in Te Reo Māori me ona Tikanga.
I would love to work in an industry where I can be true to my authentic self in a Māori environment or culturally safe workplace, where my experience in Māoritanga can be best utilised.
