Job Description
- Performs excellent quality customer service with full compassion and good hygiene in phlebotomy.
- Establishes proper sampling, collection and labeling of specimens as part of the pre analytic,
analytic and post analytic system;
- Ensures Accuracy and Precision of test results through good laboratory practices;
- Receives and collects specimens for various routine tests;
- Logs patient data with corresponding laboratory request following hospital standards;
- Observes cleanliness in laboratory area and maintains free contamination during collection of blood and body fluids samples;
- Reports test results to appropriate physicians, pathologists and staff in standard format and in a timely manner as a member of interdisciplinary team focused on providing exemplary quality care;
- Maintains and operates laboratory equipment, both manual and automated; keeps inventory and secures adequate supplies.
