Application Engineer - Electrification (Model-Based Design)

Job Summary

We are looking for an Application Engineer with strong electrification and Model-Based Design (MBD) expertise to join our team. In this role, you will act as the technical bridge between our customers and our Sales & Marketing team, supporting presales engagements, delivering customer workshops, and enabling adoption of advanced engineering workflows.

You will work closely with our Sales and Marketing colleagues to identify customer needs, demonstrate technical value, and position our solutions in electrification domains such as electric vehicles, power electronics, renewable energy, and battery systems

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales & Marketing teams to support presales activities including presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts.
• Engage with customers to understand engineering challenges and propose solutions using Model-Based Design.
• Deliver technical workshops, training sessions, and seminars on electrification and control systems design.
• Develop and showcase workflows for simulation, code generation, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with internal teams to capture customer requirements and feedback for product/solution development.
• Build technical content (demos, case studies, presentations) tailored to industry use cases in electrification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
• At least 3 years’ experience in electrification domains (EV/HEV, battery management systems, power electronics, renewable energy, motor control, etc.).
• Strong hands-on knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink and Model-Based Design workflows.
• Experience in control design, system modeling, and/or embedded software development.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and customer engagement skills.
• Business acumen and ability to align technical solutions with customer needs.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with FPGA, embedded C code generation, or HIL testing.
• Knowledge of AI/ML for electrification applications.
• Prior exposure to presales, consultancy, or technical customer support.
