Role overview

As a Backend Developer, you will build and maintain the core services that power Muvr’s platform. You will work closely with Product, Frontend, and Operations teams to develop APIs, business logic, and infrastructure that enable seamless experiences for customers and drivers.

This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, building scalable systems, and working in a fast-paced startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and integrations
Implement business logic supporting dispatch, pricing, payments, and marketplace workflows
Design and optimize databases for performance and scalability
Collaborate with frontend engineers to support end-to-end product features
Write clean, testable, and maintainable code
Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability
Contribute to engineering best practices and continuous improvement

Qualifications

Required

3+ years of backend development experience
Strong proficiency in backend programming (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, or similar)
Experience building RESTful APIs and working with databases (SQL or NoSQL)
Understanding of system design fundamentals and scalable architecture
Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred

Experience in logistics, mobility, or marketplace platforms
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Knowledge of microservices, queues, or event-driven architectures
Passion for building reliable systems that impact real-world operations
