The Role

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to take ownership of engineering execution as our product and team continue to grow.

This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who’s ready to step into a leadership position where you’ll be responsible for how work gets planned, coordinated, and delivered. You’ll assess scope and timelines, make sound technical tradeoffs, and guide a team toward predictable, high-quality delivery.

This is a hands-on execution leadership role. You’ll stay technically involved while acting as the primary point of accountability for engineering output. You won’t just manage people—you’ll be expected to understand the work deeply enough to unblock it, improve it, and drive it forward.

What You’ll Do

• Own technical execution for core product initiatives from planning through delivery
• Assess scope, complexity, and timelines for engineering work
• Translate product goals into clear execution plans and delivery expectations
• Break down initiatives into technical tasks and coordinate work across engineers
• Make technical decisions that balance speed, quality, and scalability
• Review code and maintain strong engineering standards
• Identify and remove blockers to keep engineering work moving
• Represent engineering in planning and cross-functional discussions
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and structure for engineers, especially early-career team members
• Help establish and improve engineering processes and development workflows

Must-Have Skills

• 5 years of professional software engineering experience, including experience owning delivery for features or products
• Strong background in software engineering (backend or full-stack preferred)
• Experience building and maintaining production systems
• Prior experience estimating work and driving execution for features or projects
• Ability to read, review, and reason about production code
• Experience working with or guiding less-experienced engineers

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with AI-enabled or real-time systems
• Background in SaaS or platform-based products
• Exposure to enterprise customers or production reliability concerns
• Familiarity with agile or iterative development practices
• Prior experience in a formal engineering management or tech lead role
