We are seeking an experienced Application Developer with strong Node.js backend and React frontend expertise to join our team in Mandaluyong City, Philippines. In this role, you will design and deliver mobile‑friendly Progressive Web Applications (PWAs) that support Emerson’s Lifecycle Services business. You’ll build RESTful APIs, craft responsive React interfaces, and implement offline‑capable PWA features backed by MongoDB, enabling field teams and business users to access critical tools anytime, anywhere.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain full‑stack applications using React.js (frontend) and Node.js with Express.js/NestJS (backend).
- Implement PWA features: service workers, manifests, offline caching, push notifications, and installability.
- Design and optimize RESTful APIs for mobile and web clients, ensuring efficient payloads and performance.
- Model and manage MongoDB collections, schemas, and queries following NoSQL best practices.
- Build reusable React components with Redux/Context API, responsive layouts, and touch‑friendly interactions.
- Integrate applications with APIs and enterprise services, handling authentication, error states, and offline fallback.
- Apply the full SDLC: design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Debug across Node.js, MongoDB, and React/PWA layers, delivering durable fixes.
- Collaborate in Agile ceremonies, conduct code reviews, and work closely with Product Owners, Analysts, and QA.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of full‑stack web development experience with Node.js and React.
- Proven expertise in building REST APIs with Express.js/NestJS, including routing, middleware, authentication (JWT/OAuth2), and versioning.
- Strong React skills: hooks, state management, responsive UI, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Hands‑on experience with PWA features (service workers, caching strategies, push notifications, installability).
- Experience optimizing applications for mobile and tablet devices.
- Proficiency with MongoDB (document design, CRUD, indexing, aggregation).
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps or similar), and Agile delivery.
- Strong English communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Advanced PWA tooling (Workbox, caching strategies).
- Web Push API and notification infrastructure (FCM, VAPID).
- GraphQL or WebSocket‑based real‑time features.
- Mobile performance optimization (lazy loading, code splitting, Core Web Vitals).
- Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing (Jest, Cypress, Playwright).
- Experience in international Agile teams across time zones.
Pay: Up to Php65,000.00 per month
