JOB SUMMARY
Our client is bringing an existing product in-house that has, to date, been built and managed by a US-based development partner. As part of a small in-house pod based in the Philippines, we’re looking for a junior developer to support the Senior Agentic AI Lead and the SLM Trainer with documentation, testing, and day-to-day development tasks on this agentic AI product.
This is a growth role for someone early in their career who wants to build real experience on a production AI system, not a personal project or prototype. You’ll start by keeping documentation, tickets, and the codebase in good order, and take on more development responsibility as you build confidence with the stack and the product.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation for architecture, processes, and product decisions, under guidance from the Senior Agentic AI Lead
- Support day-to-day development tasks using Claude Code, Postgres, and Rust, with growing autonomy over time
- Assist with testing — running regression checks, logging bugs, and verifying fixes
- Keep the GitHub repository organized: clean commits, clear pull requests, and up-to-date changelogs
- Manage tickets and workflow hygiene in Jira alongside the rest of the pod
- Help coordinate UI build-out and updates via Loveable
- Support the SLM Trainer with basic data preparation and organization tasks as needed
- Take notes and produce clear summaries from technical discussions for the wider team and client
- Flag anything that looks like a risk, bug, or gap early so senior members of the pod can address it
QUALIFICATIONS
- Early-career or junior-level experience in software development — some hands-on coding experience required, professional, academic, or personal projects
- Strong written English and attention to detail — documentation quality matters as much as code in this role
- Basic familiarity with Git/GitHub and the standard software development lifecycle
- Comfortable using, or quick to learn, Claude Code, Postgres, and Rust
- Organized and proactive — able to manage your own tickets in Jira with minimal oversight
- Genuine interest in agentic AI and a willingness to learn on the job
- Familiarity with Jira, and ideally Loveable, is a plus
- Security- and governance-aware mindset — this is a live enterprise product, not a personal project
- Able to take direction from senior team members while building toward more independent ownership over time
- Reliable and communicative — flags blockers early rather than sitting on them
- Product-minded: curious about how the pieces fit together, not just the individual tickets
