Role Overview:
We are seeking a gifted Python Developer, a true code slinger with mighty Django and Azure experience, to join our dynamic team of tech heroes. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain high-quality web applications using Python and Django.
- Design and deploy scalable cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, strategists, and developers, to define, develop, and launch new features.
- Monitor and improve application performance, reliability, and responsiveness.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
- Maintain code quality through effective coding practices, organization, testing, and automation.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve technical solutions.
Qualifications:
Skills Required
- Proven experience as a Python Developer, with your primary quests involving web applications.
- Strong command of Django and its related frameworks, your trusty Batarangs.
- Hands on experience across the Microsoft Azure universe, where Azure App Services, Azure Functions and Azure DevOps are your allies.
- Familiarity with front end technology, including JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3, because every hero needs to look good.
- Mastery of RESTful APIs and integrating third party APIs, connecting worlds.
- Proficiency in Git, keeping all timelines in order.
- Legendary problem solving skills and the ability to be both a solo hero and an outstanding team player.
- Excellent communication skills, because every hero needs to articulate their plan.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent real world experience that is just as epic.
- 3 or more years of commercial software development experience in Python.
- Demonstrated production experience deploying and maintaining applications on a major cloud platform.
- Evidence of working within an agile delivery team, with code review and version control as normal practice.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with containerisation technology such as Docker and Kubernetes, handy for deploying advanced tech.
- Knowledge of other cloud realms such as AWS or GCP is a definite power up.
- Previous missions in a startup or fast paced environment.
- Exposure to financial services data, or to building with large language models.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm PHT
