About the Role
We are seeking a
Python Developer with strong backend development expertise and experience in banking, financial services, or other highly regulated environments. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable APIs and enterprise applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of Python development experience
- Banking or financial services industry background
- Strong experience in Python, FastAPI, and REST Framework
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB and data pipeline/streaming technologies (Kafka or similar implementations for near real-time processing of large datasets)
- Intermediate SQL proficiency, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redshift, or similar relational databases
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Docker Compose, with a solid understanding of containerization concept.
- Experience working in enterprise environments using AWS and cloud-native services
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, including CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, automated testing, and Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices
- Experience with code reviews, version control systems (Bitbucket/Git), and coding standards/best practices
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design, API versioning, error handling, and exception management
- Knowledge of API security concepts, including JWT, OAuth2, and secure coding practices
- Basic to intermediate familiarity with AI/ML development concepts, AI-powered applications, or integrations with AI services/models
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative Agile development environment
