We're hiring a Python Web Developer to join our software development team and contribute to the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our web applications and business software solutions.

The ideal candidate has solid hands-on experience with Python and modern web development frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI. The role involves building and maintaining back-end services, developing APIs, integrating databases and third-party systems, and ensuring that applications remain reliable, scalable, and maintainable.

We are looking for someone who can understand business requirements, work comfortably with existing codebases, troubleshoot technical issues, and develop practical solutions without requiring constant supervision.

This role is well suited to a developer who enjoys solving technical challenges, working across different application components, and collaborating with a team to build software that addresses real business needs.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using Python and frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Develop and maintain back-end services, application logic, business rules, and RESTful APIs.
• Build and maintain integrations between internal applications, databases, third-party platforms, and external APIs.
• Design, manage, and optimize database structures, relationships, and SQL queries using relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Quickly get up to speed on existing applications and codebases, understanding established architecture, business logic, and development practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to existing systems and users.
• Implement appropriate authentication, authorization, data validation, error handling, and secure coding practices.
• Write and maintain unit tests and integration tests to ensure application reliability and code quality.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement practical improvements to application efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development standards, coding practices, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate closely with QA Engineers, front-end developers, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, identify potential gaps, and minimize unnecessary revision cycles.
• Assist with application deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting across development, staging, and production environments.
• Work with version control systems such as Git and support development workflows, CI/CD processes, and cloud-based deployments.
• Investigate technical challenges and recommend practical, maintainable, and scalable solutions.

 

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of professional software development experience or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python programming.
• Experience with at least one Python web framework: Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting production web applications.
• Solid experience developing RESTful APIs, back-end services, and software integrations.
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience working with existing codebases and the ability to understand unfamiliar applications and technical architectures.
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming, software design principles, debugging, version control, and code quality.
• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify gaps, edge cases, and potential technical issues before implementation.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while communicating effectively with the wider development team.
• Clear, proactive, and effective communicator who can explain technical issues in understandable terms, ask the right questions early, and provide timely updates.

  Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with asynchronous programming and background task processing.
• Familiarity with Celery, Redis, message queues, or equivalent technologies.
• Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Understanding of caching, application scalability, and performance optimization.
• Experience developing SaaS platforms, ERP integrations, or business applications.
• Experience integrating AI services or data-processing solutions.
