Senior Backend Developer (GCP/Typescript/Node.js)

We are building a cloud-native Purchase Order Automation platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) that streamlines B2B order processing through automated email ingestion, AI-driven data transformation, and ERP integrations.

We are seeking a Google Cloud Functions Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, REST APIs, and GCP in a fully remote setup. The ideal candidate is a backend-focused, cloud-native developer with strong API integration experience, comfortable working independently in a distributed team and motivated by solving complex automation challenges using modern cloud and AI technologies.

• Build cloud-native backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, and REST APIs
• Work with Google Cloud services including Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Cloud Scheduler, Cloud Workflows, and Secret Manager
• Implement AI-powered data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Vertex AI, Gemini, and OpenAI
• Integrate automated email ingestion using the Gmail API
• Process and transform incoming files such as PDF, XML, CSV, Excel, and Word documents
• Integrate transformed Purchase Order data with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) using XML-based APIs
• Build and support administrative and configuration dashboards using Google AppSheet
• Apply best practices for logging, monitoring, security, error handling, retries, and system reliability
• Implement compliance-aware system design aligned with GDPR and CCPA requirements
• *Qualifications
• Node.js and TypeScript with 5+ years of backend development experience
• Google Cloud Platform with 3+ years of hands-on experience
• RESTful API design and integrations with 5+ years of experience
• AI-enhanced application development using Vertex AI, Gemini, OpenAI, or similar platforms with 1 to 2+ years of experience
• Strong knowledge of secure and scalable cloud-native development practices
• *Additional Skills and Experience
• ERP integrations such as Oracle NetSuite or similar with 1+ year of experience
• Prisma ORM and PostgreSQL with 2+ years of experience
• Low-code or administrative dashboards such as Google AppSheet with 1+ year of experience
• Cloud or backend development certifications are a plus
