Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Software Engineer to support the maintenance and enhancement of foundational software frameworks, libraries, APIs, and integration interfaces that enable passenger-facing applications across current-generation platforms. The role involves working on Android application frameworks, reusable UI components, platform services, accessibility and localization features, and automated testing frameworks.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Modern C , Linux/Android-based embedded systems, software architecture, debugging, and system integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance Android/Linux software frameworks and platform components.
• Develop reusable libraries, APIs, and SDK-style software components.
• Support system integration activities across Android-based embedded platforms.
• Troubleshoot complex software issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Develop and execute unit tests and support integration testing activities.
• Ensure software quality, maintainability, scalability, and performance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Modern C including:
• Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Memory Management
• Multithreading & Concurrency
• Data Structures & Algorithms
• Performance Optimization
• Strong experience in Linux software development and debugging.
• Experience with Android platform/system programming, networking, threads, and system interfaces.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience building modular, reusable, production-quality software.
• Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with embedded systems or edge-computing platforms.
• Experience integrating applications with embedded platform services.
• Exposure to cross-platform application integration.
• Experience developing frameworks, libraries, APIs, and SDKs.
• Familiarity with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience supporting multiple hardware/product configurations.
• Background in passenger entertainment systems, avionics, automotive software, embedded Android, or similar complex embedded environments.
