Must Have Skills

• Strong Python and software engineering fundamentals
• Pydantic AI or similar agent frameworks
• LLM integration and AI-powered application development
• RAG: document processing, chunking, vector/hybrid search, retrieval optimization
• Backend development: REST APIs, databases, architecture
• Cloud (AWS preferred), containerization, CI/CD
• AI testing and evaluation (validating outputs, reliability)
• AWS (Step Functions, Lambda, API Gateway, EKS)

Nice to Have Skills

• AI-assisted development (e.g., Claude)
• Security: secure database access, authorization, AI safeguards
• Observability for AI systems (e.g., Logfire)
• Agile/Scrum
• Design, build, and maintain AI-powered apps with Python and LLMs

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain AI agents with Pydantic AI or similar
• Establish AI agent safeguards: secure agents and tools, safe model interactions, controlled database access, query validation, authorization enforcement
• Validate, test, and monitor AI-generated actions and outputs before production
• Monitor deployed agents for accuracy, latency, cost, and failures
