Software Engineer

About the Role

AnchorStackTech is looking for talented and motivated Software Developers based in the Philippines to join our growing team.

We’re looking for developers with strong hands-on experience in one or more of our core technologies: JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, and Python .

You’ll work with our team to build new features, maintain and improve existing applications, integrate APIs, and solve real-world technical problems. We value developers who can write clean code, communicate well, and work independently in a remote environment.

Tech Stack

Our main development stack includes:

• JavaScript / TypeScript
• Java
• Python
• REST APIs
• SQL and relational databases
• Git / GitHub
• Modern frontend and backend frameworks

Experience across the entire stack is not required. Strong experience in at least one of our core languages is important, and experience with multiple technologies is a plus.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain web applications and backend services
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs
• Develop new features and improve existing functionality
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code
• Work with databases and external services
• Debug and troubleshoot technical issues
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
• Collaborate with developers and other team members
• Help improve application performance, reliability, and security
• Communicate regularly with our remote team

What We’re Looking For

• Professional software development experience
• Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Python
• Good understanding of APIs, databases, and modern software development
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Good understanding of software design principles
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively
• Good written and spoken English
• Comfortable working with a remote international team
• Currently based in the Philippines

Nice to Have Experience with any of the following is a plus:

• React, Next.js, Node.js, or similar JavaScript frameworks
• Spring Boot
• Django, Flask, or FastAPI
• AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Docker and Kubernetes
• Microservices
• CI/CD pipelines
• PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL databases
• Automated testing
• Agile/Scrum development
