Connie Tagay

I am Connie L. Tagay, a Licensed Professional Teacher major in Social Science. Although I do not have formal classroom teaching experience yet, I have over 17 years of experience working in government programs focused on community development, social welfare, and public service.

In my current role with the Department of Social Welfare and Development, I regularly facilitate Family Development Sessions where I discuss topics related to education, values formation, and social responsibility. I also coordinate closely with schools, parents, and community leaders, which has strengthened my communication, facilitation, and mentoring skills.

Through my previous work with the Department of Labor and Employment, I conducted community education sessions, guided families and children, and helped promote the importance of education—experiences that I believe are closely aligned with teaching.

I am passionate about helping learners grow, not only academically but also in terms of values and life skills. I am eager to apply my skills in facilitation, communication, and learner engagement in a classroom setting and continue learning as an educator.
