I used to be the Program Coordinator and Program Chair of the Performing Arts Department. I made sure that modules and related activities are followed by teachers to teach students. I evaluate assessment standards that measure learning objectives of students.
I also look for alternative learning activities and events that offer application of knowledge and skills taught in a classroom or laboratory to enable students to immerse themselves in their respective fields and experience execution of roles in actual industry set ups. I also do coach to help students manage their academic performances. Other tasks of mine to compose content to inform the community of upcoming shows and events related to arts and culture.
I am part of a team which comes up with series of activities to promote awareness of heritage making use of online delivery or onsite modes. Aside from paperwork that come with performance of the job to support the company processes, I also prepare reports to represent the contribution of the department in the achievement of the goals of the institution. Written reports are just common as a follow-through of an event that will transpire.
Post-evaluation surveys are designed to gauge how the objectives of an event have been met. In order to promote performing arts, I spearhead seminars and workshops with a team to make viewers understand the goals for student development and engage other entities to experience learning and take part in promotion of learnings acquired. Networking is essential in my job to increase student enrollment to courses that not many take for their future professions.
I do coordination with student prospectives and build a scheme for higher enrollment turnout like social media engagement, email blasting, career talk, call brigade, and the like for a wider reach to let the public know of our institution. Most of those I contact to find opportunities of performance or work for students from the creative and performing arts industries.
