I am currently working at Petron Corporation as Terminal Technician. My primary work is handling the Oil Movement Operations, Execution of tanker receiving of FUELS (ADO, Gasoline, Bunker Fuels) and LPG, tank volumes computation. Execution of tank dipping, sampling, water draining, tank transfers. Accountable in order and billing, dispatching and invoicing using SAP (System Applications Products). Ensure customers always receive the right product and quality in a safe manner.
Also, I worked as a Jetty Supervisor at Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation. As a Jetty Supervisor, my primary work order is to operate oil and petrochemical transfers via ship to shore basis or vice-versa. I supervise jetty operations on continuous duty of ship to shore connections and undertakes routine checks on ship to shore checklists.
I report all activities on the jetty and coordinate it with the shore. I am also responsible for safe jetty operations in preventing emergencies, complies with PSPC’s safety rules, patrols pipelines, slops tanks and fittings of hoses, and is also responsible for the connection and disconnection of loadings arms or hoses from shore to ship. I monitor ship’s activities during her stay on the jetty, and all mooring and unmooring activities of the ship.
And also, I am accountable for the recording of all documents needed in the operation (Tank Port Performance, Activity Monitoring Checklists, 19X, etc.). Maintain time constraints of all activities.
I've just finished my training as Instrumentation Technician for Industrial Instrumentation and Process Control. I am able to know the Instrumentation and process control fundamentals and know the measurement concept and methods. I am able to use instrumentation terminologies and identify Instrument symbols & tag numbers.
I am also able to prepare and interpret Instrument drawing. I am also responsible for hook-up, terminate and loop check process control loop. I am also responsible for pull-out and re-install instruments according to procedure and Instrument overhauling such as control valve, pressure gauge and differential pressure transmitter.
Practicing process safety is one of the key factors in our job description. One example is ensuring our productivity is safe. I always see that our production site is safe. Also, I wear proper and appropriate PPE’s for the given job. I always perform a safety checklist at a given time interval to see if the work site is still safe and/or incident free.
I attended Proper training like Basic Occupational Safety and Health Course, Behavioural Safety, H2S, First Aid, Basic Life Support and many more to promote and enhance my awareness in health and safety. I graduated with a Degree in Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering at De La Salle University – Lipa. Having graduated from this course brings me a new level of uniqueness among others.
