HSE Manager — AMIRAL Industrial Wastewater Recycle & Treatment Plant at Orascom Construction Industries (OCI) (2025-01 – 2026-07) AQUA RENEW (SATORP)-approved HSE Manager on a $500M environmental infrastructure project supporting the $11B AMIRAL petrochemical complex, Jubail II Industrial City.

• Appointed AQUA RENEW (SATORP)-approved HSE Manager for the $500M AMIRAL plant, holding full HSE authority over all company staff and contractors on a Royal Commission-governed site.
• Built and lead a team of HSE engineers and supervisors, implementing ISO 45001/14001 management systems and a scheduled continuous-improvement audit programme aligned to client and Saudi legislative requirements.
• Established a controlled Permit-to-Work regime and RAMS/COSHH/Fire-Risk process with site-wide induction, ensuring no activity proceeds without assessed, communicated controls.
• Drive TapRooT root cause investigations and behavioural-safety campaigns, reporting HSE performance through weekly-to-annual review meetings to sustain a positive safety culture. Consortium HSE Manager — ADNOC 'Lightning' HVDC Project at Samsung C&T (Consortium with Jan De Nul) (2021-01 – 2025-01) ADNOC-approved Consortium HSE Manager for Samsung C&T (in consortium with Jan De Nul) on a $3.6B project to decarbonise ADNOC's offshore operations — two HVDC lines and converter stations linking offshore terminals to TRANSCO onshore substations at Mirfa and Shuweihat.
• Completed the contract with ZERO Lost Time Injuries as ADNOC-approved Consortium HSE Manager on the $3.6B Lightning HVDC decarbonisation project.
• Delivered the full regulatory suite — HSEIA, COMAH, EIA/EIS, CESMP and construction-phase OHRA — securing client and ADNOC approvals across every relevant project stage.
• Implemented ISO 45001/14001 systems and ADNOC/TRANSCO process-safety and CDM requirements, operating the ADNOC Work Management System (WMS) permit regime and ensuring TRANSCO compliance on transformer construction and commissioning.
• Closed contractor HSE deficiencies through systematic review of plans, RAMS and fire arrangements, and led TapRooT investigations and behavioural-safety campaigns across the workforce. HSE Manager — Barakah Nuclear Power Plant at Hyundai E&C (2014-01 – 2020-01) HSE Manager for the Hyundai/Samsung Joint Venture (HSJV) on the $32B Barakah Nuclear Power Plant — the Arab world's first operational nuclear facility — with 25,000 staff and subcontractors.
• Contributed to 85+ million man-hours WITHOUT A LOST TIME INJURY over 6 years as HSE Manager on the $32B, 25,000-strong Barakah Nuclear Power Plant.
• Implemented HSE and environmental management systems to FANR, ENEC/NAWAH, KEPCO and TRANSCO nuclear process-safety requirements, achieving ISO 45001 (OHSAS 18001)/14001 compliance.
• Cleared all FANR/NAWAH/ENEC requirements for access to the live operational nuclear plant and enforced strict CDM adherence across the construction programme.
• Led the permit-to-work system, TapRooT investigations, training matrix, inductions and emergency-response procedures, driving behavioural-safety programmes across a 25,000-person workforce. • Directed HSQE for marine (port/barge, crane, RORO/SPMT), heavy-lift and road-transport operations, including the SARB Island offshore installation (ADMA-OPCO) — assuring lifting plans, lashing diagrams, permits and RAMS.
• Rolled out a regional behavioural-safety programme from senior management to operational level and maintained OHSAS 18001/ISO 14001/9001 compliance through cross-regional audits. HSQE Manager — Head Office at Power Electrics (2013-01 – 2014-01) Secured Achilles accreditation, enabling the company to win and deliver work across UK rail networks.
• Managed H&S, Environmental and Quality teams to ISO 9001/14001/OHSAS 18001 compliance, leading audits, CDM coordination with subcontractors and root cause investigations.

Safety

Advisor — Blast Furnace 4 Rebuild at Tata Steel Europe (2012-01 – 2013-01) Recognised by the Tata Steel director for delivering ZERO Lost Time Injuries on the UK's largest 2012–13 engineering construction project (6,000 contractors, COMAH Tier 1).

• Managed 24 seconded safety observers and oversaw CDM across principal contractor Rowecord and 70 subcontractors — approving RAMS, controlling permits/SIMOPS and maintaining the project safety file to completion.

Safety

Advisor & Team Lead, Hot Rolled Products at Tata Steel Europe (2006-01 – 2012-01) Won the UK SHEF Conference award as Safety Team Lead for the 'Trapping Points' project, eliminating man/machine crush hazards across all HRP equipment following UK fatalities.

• Owned HSE for Hot Rolled Products (COMAH Tier 1) as sole department lead — emergency/DSEAR/fire arrangements, COSHH and HAZOP studies — and drove near-miss reporting and trend analysis into corporate policy.
