About
With a strong foundation in Marine Engineering and Occupational Health and Safety, I am a safety-driven professional with international experience across high-risk maritime and construction environments, emergency response, safety management systems, and stakeholder engagement. My multidisciplinary background enables me to bridge technical operations with practical safety leadership while effectively engaging people at all levels. I began my career as a Junior Marine Engineer, overseeing critical shipboard systems and machinery while ensuring compliance with international maritime safety and environmental standards.
I also served as a First Aid Responder and Instructor at HTEC Philippines, delivering safety and emergency response training to diverse audiences. I later expanded my international experience in Canada as a Health, Safety, and Environment Coordinator at Norlon Builders, conducting inspections, supporting COR audits, implementing safety management systems, advancing digital safety initiatives, and ensuring regulatory compliance while working closely with workers, supervisors, project teams, and management. Currently, as a Safety Coordinator/Specialist at First Balfour, Inc.
I coordinate across departments and project sites while engaging employees, clients, contractors, visitors, and other stakeholders. I lead safety training, orientations, forums, and awareness initiatives, while supporting risk management, incident prevention, and safety performance. Combining engineering expertise, international HSE experience, and strong people-facing skills, I bring a practical, collaborative, and results-driven approach to safety leadership.
